While many people worry about discontinuing antidepressants, studies and anecdotal evidence suggest that withdrawal symptoms from Wellbutrin (bupropion) are generally milder and less frequent compared to those associated with SSRIs and SNRIs. However, abruptly stopping the medication, or going “cold turkey,” is never recommended and can still lead to uncomfortable withdrawal, or discontinuation, symptoms.
