Eliquis (apixaban) has a half-life of approximately 12 hours, meaning its therapeutic effect diminishes relatively quickly after a dose is missed, increasing the risk of forming dangerous clots. This makes missing even a few days of Eliquis particularly hazardous and strongly ill-advised without direct medical supervision.
