Originally co-developed by Millennium Pharmaceuticals and Janssen, the ownership and commercialization rights of the cancer drug Velcade are now split between two major pharmaceutical players. According to the FDA, the brand-name prescription medication Vermox (mebendazole) was not removed from the U.S. market for safety or efficacy reasons, reassuring patients of its past effectiveness.
